Spiritual Medium Video

Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : Are “video games” and other electronic media negatively influencing the spiritual welfare of our youth?

This is something I’ve often wondered about. Many of these “video games” appear to have a lot of vulgar language and excessive violence. What are your thoughts on this issue?

Answer by No Chance Without Christ Puncher
No, the parents of the children who abandon their kids to video game consoles for hours every day are what is ruining today’s youth.

Answer by Epithelium Appetence
No, stop censoring your damn kids from the real world. That will backfire on you.

If the kids cannot distinguish the difference between video games and real life, that is on the parents.

Answer by Greta
…”Spiritual welfare”?

I think most video games are pretty much harmless.

Answer by Bongernet
Screw the spiritual welfare. Can the fat bastards run a mile or read and write?

Answer by Marquis de Laffayette
You haven’t played Super Noah’s Ark for the SNES.

Answer by Respectfully Yours
Definitely yes! Dartmouth Medical school has done a study for the past few years on this and yes, violence, etc, has a negative impact on youth.

(1 Corinthians 15:33) Do not be misled. Bad associations spoil useful habits.

Answer by Danger
Nothing like organized religion does.

Answer by Curious Dave

Have you ever played Grand Theft Auto?

Yah some are, music defintely.

Answer by Charkie
There are video games with no violence or language you know. Buy a Wii or something if you don’t want your kids playing games like that.

Answer by Gary Spear
There is no doubt about it. Their minds are like sponges soaking up violence and vulgarity.
It all becomes a distraction from what God would have them do.

Answer by Ducqueline Parker-Bowles
I’m sure they said the same about Shakespeare.

Answer by Jeancommunicates
Of course these games are negative for our children. Some have even committed suicide from excessive game playing.

We are told by God to “guard our eyes and guard our ears.” We are not to watch everything that is possible to watch and we are not to listen to garbage, violence, ugly language, calling God’s name in vain, and speaking against Almighty God. Hollywood started this “falsehood” and our children have suffered ever since.

Answer by .
Just keep them away from R&S and they’ll be fine.

Answer by MR. Alexxx
No.

Answer by Richie Franklin
The all around deterioration of modern society and family is the true culprit behind the spiritual warfare we see nowadays.

And it’s a LOT more complicated than mere video games and television. In fact the devils men have gradually made it virtually impossible not to get bombarded with harmful messages all day.

how many of even us Christians do you think would be willing to throw out our TV’s,video games, cell phones, computers, and the other modern things that take away from interpersonal interaction and our walk with God?

The answer is very few sadly,we all are insnared

Answer by Fisherman
Our Creator has given us the Holy Scriptures to lead all who wish to worship Him in “Spirit and truth” to Him.

Satan knows this and places as many “Distractions” in our paths so that we tend to forget or neglect these writings God has given us.

The Bible speaks of the Devil, the source of this spirit, as “the spirit that now operates in the sons of disobedience,” and shows that the ruler of the authority of the air motivates people to act disobediently toward God. (Eph. 2:2) This ruler is described as the “god of this world,” as the wicked one in whose power the whole world lies and as the Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth.—2 Cor. 4:4; 1 John 5:19; Rev. 12:5.

(Ephesians 2:2) in which YOU at one time walked according to the system of things of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit that now operates in the sons of disobedience.

(2 Corinthians 4:4) among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.

(1 John 5:19) We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the [power of the] wicked one.

(Revelation 12:5) And she gave birth to a son, a male, who is to shepherd all the nations with an
iron rod. And her child was caught away to God and to his throne.

bberries can’t play certain formats — coincidentally, the same flash format of many youtube videos. some will work, but many will not. until there is an upgrade to the berry system which allows full flash viewing, you will be hit and miss.

The old occult saying of “Know Thyself” sounds merely like a cliché that seems overused in many circumstances in the occult. What does this term mean? How does knowing yourself and the power of “I” effect you as a person.

I would like to share a short biography of my life as a brief example. I would like to make clear the synopsis of this essay is to essentially show how the Will affects the the magical user through magick, but this is not an summary of playing the victim of ‘poor me.’ There are other people with worse things than what I serve an example of in life, but I only know my experiences from my personal perception.
