Online Reading Video

Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : How can I convert my video file to AVI when its too big for all the converters?

I found a lot of video converters online but my video file was too big for all of them, I don’t know why its so big though its 120 but its only about 4 minutes long …I need to convert a MOV(quick time) file video to an AVI or WMV. Does anyone know a good website that will convert video over 120 without paying money?

Answer by Heleno
Change the file format manually.

Once in the folder your video file is in, find folder and search options and UNCHECK hide file extensions. Then just rename the file to (whatever the name is).WMV/AVI instead of MOV.

Try MediaCoder:

It’s FREE, has no viruses or malware, regular updates and supports CUDA, so if you have a nVidia GPU it can accelerate the conversion times.

If you don’t trust the above link, you can download it from cnet and read their review at the same time.

Once you have it downloaded you can convert anything you want, whenever you want. All without having to constantly upload, then download the file.

This supports more then 100 megabyte files:
I recommend you start searching for a free converter software – otherwise you will have to keep on uploading/downloading.

Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : Is it bad to teach yourself a different style of riding?

Well, I tried english riding once, and I loved the feel of it. When I learned western, I basically learned english in a western saddle. But I still learned western also. I learned how to post, I learned you hold the reins differently, but thats pretty much it. If i read books, online, videos, and maybe got help from a friend, do you think this would be a bad idea of trying to teach myself this style of riding?

Answer by zakiit
I think it is good to learn a different way of riding, but you really need to buy or borrow a well fitting saddle suited to English style if you want to be any good at it.

There is a whole host of difference between English and Western, not just posting (which you cannot hope to do in a Western saddle) and holding the reins. The position is different, the way you use your back, leg and seat are different ….

Answer by Jordin
I think there is nothing better than learning multiple disciplines of riding! The more you ride, the more you learn, especially switching back and forth from Western to English. I would have to disagree with the previous poster that they are so different. All horses (should) respond similarly to your seat, lets, etc. Sure there are subtle differences in the styles of riding, but each amounts to the same thing, riding and controlling an amazing animal. I show primarily in reining and cowhorse competitions, but I will still ride English every once in a while to strengthen my legs, and it just generally works different parts of my body than I’m used to. I would also have to disagree that you can’t post in a western saddle! I always post while schooling or training my horses. It much easier on me and them. Of course you can’t do that in a show, but it is possible. I’ve even JUMPED in my western saddle! I hope you decide to take up your additional discipline! Work hard at it but have fun!!

Its good to learn all forms of riding, however I don’t think its wise to teach yourself another style of riding because you can get confused and can make a lot of mistakes.
If you want to learn another style of riding I would suggest getting a riding instructor or trainer to help you out, because they can help you improve upon your riding skills and give you tips and help educate you further than books or online videos can, because its in person.

Answer by Reba
If you know how to ride properly for shows then there is no problem riding another way for you. The best way is how you feel naturally With the reins and in the saddle. You don’t really have to tech yourself just do what’s comfortable and relaxing. But always watch make sure your feet are proper for just on case anything would happen.
