Question : Which is really better, online astrology sites or seeing any live astrologer?
Are live ones better because they are psychics? Or will online sites using computer programs, be less likely to make human errors? If one is better, why even bother with the other?
What about quality of the astrologer? If I spend money, how can I make sure they are the best?

The modern psychic is a scam artist. Get 2 in a room and they will have different views. Experiment with them. Watch the show Penn & Teller: Bulls h i t on their episode about Psychics. For more detail. Do online that don’t charge. Why pay for something that is not certain? Go to two different psychics, ask the same question, don’t tell them anything more than the question (like don’t say this is what another psychic said, don’t give them any information for them to use for that matter) and I guarantee you that you will get 2 different answers.

Live astrologers are rarely psychics. Nor do they need to be to do good chart readings. “Reading” the chart means applying astrological theory to the factors shown in the chart, and anyone who wants to learn the theory can do readings.
However, live astrologers have one advantage over computer program readings … a real mind can balance all the factors out against each other.
Example: Say you have Moon in Taurus in the 7th house, sextile Uranus in Cancer in the 9th.
The computer can only tell you what each factor means … Moon in Taurus … Moon in 7th house … Moon sextile Uranus … Uranus in Cancer … Uranus in 9th house.
But it CANNOT tell you what Moon in Taurus in the 7th house house, sextile Uranus in Cancer in the 9th. Furthermore, the computer does even recognize that the Moon placement is counterbalanced by Sun in Aries in the 6th, and Mercury in Gemini in the 8th ….
Reading a chart is a very complex matter, where every factor is affected by every other factor, and you have a MINIMUM of 36 factors to consider simultaneously.
How can you make sure they are the best? Contact all the astrologers you can find, and ask them who … besides themselves … they would recommend and why. Then go to the one who gets the best recommendations.

Astrologers aren’t psychics, so that isn’t really a benefit to seeing one in person rather than a computer.
The difference is mainly in the ability of the astrologer to synthesize the different placements in a chart. A computer can provide isolated delineations for individual placements, like Mars in Taurus, Mars in the 7th house, Mars square Saturn, etc. But it can’t tell you what it means when you have all three of those placements at once. The benefit though is that those isolated delineations can sometimes be kind of thorough.
The downside is that it is kind of a crapshoot when it comes to finding a decent astrologer. Most of the time you will probably luck out and find someone who is halfway decent, and can give you information about your chart that you wouldn’t know otherwise, but there are some crappy astrologers out there too. My main advice would just be to study the person’s website or written work ahead of time, and try to get a sense of if they seem to approach the subject in a way that is both respectable and jives with your own personal views.
So, there are advantages and disadvantages to both approaches. The only decent computerized reports I know of are on astro.com. I don’t know if that is what you were thinking of, but be careful that you don’t get ripped off by non-astrologer scam artists if you go that route.
Question : any good fiction books about psychics, or a family of witches?
I am a stressed college student who likes to free his mind with fiction. I am looking for a book about maybe a psychic(s) with different abilities, or maybe a book about a family of witches similar to charmed? Thanks in advanced.

The Witching Hour by Anne Rice
Voodoo Dreams: A Novel of Marie Laveau by Jewell Parker Rhodes
Sorry, other than those two that were both fun and interesting read
I am not familiar with what else is out there on the market but I am
sure there are tons of others. If you go to Amazon.com and
punch in Charmed or those two titles I just gave you, it will lead you
to the rest.
Edit: Glad you got me interested enough to take a peek because
I just found Anne Rice not only continued The Mayfair family saga
which I think is great because she is such a wonderful writer but
found one called She Walks on Gilded Splinters by Gene Dwyer
which looks fascinating.

Time’s Disease, Laurent In Chains
A good long read of adult fiction, first book to a Time’s Disease trilogy that is dark and mysterious romanticism untamed~ When a young prophetess is rescued from genocide by a retired veteran, our prolific duo teams up with a sultry bounty hunter who falls for any heroic heart. Old comrades unite amid the chaotic collapse of a world power, and rebel armies form new alliances out of loyalty to the innocent. A princess learns of her true heritage while tribes waken powers of olden. A practitioner of occult science self-fulfills temple prophecy by resurrecting his father from the grave, only to realize the Free People he despises have become his only salvation.
Many believe these inevitable events were written in the stars from the dawn of time, and prophets are merely observant students of precession who study repetitive patterns within endless successions of natural cycles. Others say it is impossible to predict legendary incidents which happened before and are destined to occur again. Civilizations have come and gone, leaving historical warnings carved on ancient walls. Unheeded and forgotten by myth, eras are reborn to rise and fall until there comes an age when every god’s immortality nears its end…
Set in a post-apocalyptic future, Time’s Disease offers the classical allure of mythology with enduring messages very relevant to current events. Futuristic themes revolve around castle landscapes to create this novel recipe. Add a dash of mysticism, sprinkled by romance and topped by spatters of horror, to sup from hope’s cup amid life’s epic tragedies. Partake of this bold tale of action and consequence, as revealed by Illiana Rhea and told by the very characters themselves. Behold, this is Laurent In Chains.
